About the Journal

Jurnal Sains Sosial dan Perilaku (JSSP) is a peer-reviewed electronic academic journal published by PT Mutu Sinergi Eduka. JSSP was first published in 2026 and is published online through the Open Journal System (OJS). The journal serves as an academic platform for the dissemination of high-quality scholarly works in the fields of social sciences and behavioral sciences, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary perspectives that contribute to a deeper understanding of society, social interaction, communication, culture, and human behavior.

JSSP publishes original research articles, theoretical studies, policy analysis papers, and critical review articles covering a broad range of topics in Social Sciences, particularly Sociology, Anthropology, and Communication Studies. These areas include studies on social structure and interaction, social change, social institutions, culture and identity, community life, interpersonal and organizational communication, mass media, digital communication, and social media. The journal also welcomes contributions in Behavioral Sciences, particularly Psychology, including social psychology, developmental psychology, educational psychology, organizational and industrial psychology, community psychology, and studies of individual and collective behavior. In addition, JSSP encourages interdisciplinary research integrating perspectives from sociology, anthropology, communication studies, psychology, and other related disciplines to address contemporary social and behavioral issues and their implications for individuals, communities, organizations, and society.

To ensure academic quality and publication integrity, JSSP applies a double-blind peer-review process. Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to evaluate its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, formatting requirements, citation standards, and plagiarism screening. Manuscripts that pass the editorial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area, while the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. Reviewers evaluate the originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, validity, significance, and contribution of the manuscript. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial evaluation, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision after the required revision process has been completed.

JSSP is an open-access electronic journal that provides immediate and free access to all published articles through its Open Journal System (OJS). This open-access policy is based on the principle that making scholarly research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and promotes the dissemination of scientific findings to researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and the wider community without subscription or access fees.

The journal is published Biannually (Juni and Desember).
